Melanie Georgacopoulos introduces Eclipse, a new jewellery collection exploring the physical and emotional duality of black and white through sculptural design. Inspired by the visual and physical dynamics of an eclipse, Melanie aims to capture the fleeting moment where light and shadow align. Monochromatic arrangements examine ideas of transition and contrast through material, tone, and form. Incorporating onyx and diamonds, this collection marks an evolution, integrating hard stones into Melanie’s material language alongside pearls. The collection focuses on balance, tension, and alignment across a series of wearable pieces.

Featuring a reinterpretation of a classic chain, fluid yet sculptural loops of white freshwater pearls weave seamlessly through custom-cut links of onyx. These multi-wear chain necklaces and bracelets are finished with bespoke gold clasps set with 2.89cts of sparkling diamonds. New editions of her best-selling Cube designs use the same material pairing, onyx cubes sit in opposition with spherical white pearls connected by diamond set rings of gold.

The Eclipse Necklace is a standout piece using inverted colour blocking across four strands of pearls; alternating between lengths of black and white. Single-piece cast, large scale bangles, rings and earrings in black ruthenium-plated silver highlight pearls in unexpected positions; emerging through gaps and out from underneath circular black disks, echoing final beads of sunlight.

“Black and white are technically shades devoid of colour, yet they function with deep emotional resonance” says Melanie. “This collection captures the celestial tension where black is the absence of light and white its full presence, using opposing materials as evocative anchors”. Eclipse continues Georgacopoulos’ exploration of geometry and material, with an emphasis on contrast, construction, and wearability.
