JAPAN TRIP JULY 2016
Melanie visited Japan again in July 2016 to present her new designs and to oversee the development of samples for the next M/G TASAKI collection. She spent two days in Tokyo, two days in Kobe and two days in Kanazawa where she visited several museums including the Gold Leaf Museum. During her trip she had the opportunity to partake in an introductory workshop in fabric painting at a traditional kimono factory. She also had the pleasure of meeting Kazimi Murose, a Urushi master. As always during her visit’s to Japan she enjoyed exquisite cuisine and immersed herself in Japanese culture.
