This bank holiday weekend is your last chance to see Terrane curated by @katematthams at @_aetla_ in Edinburgh, where you can be mesmerised by the stunning iridescence of my Aligned Ring amongst other wonderful work by so many designers I admire.
Through themes of land, movement and memory, the works in the exhibition consider how place continues to influence contemporary craft, revealing the quiet connections between the world around us and the objects we create.

I am really pleased to be extending my relationship with @idfinejewellery to have a special curation of pieces not only in their Athens store, but also in their new outpost at the Four Seasons hotel in Mykonos, if you’re lucky enough to be on the island this summer pop by and take a look!

The White Katina Chain is available now at @fsmykonos it features white mother of pearl loops interwoven with white pearls to take the form of a Byzantine chain inspired by a necklace that I inherited from my Great Aunt Katina 🐚

Working with natural materials comes with certain

Working with natural materials comes with certain restrictions, the size of mother of pearl for example is limited by the size of the shell. Within that if you want a flat section (which I often do in my designs) this is dependant on the specific shape of the shell. Each shell variety varies in shape and size, with lavender mother of pearl, which is my shell of the month for August, being the smallest.
My Oval Hinge Earrings utilise the largest possible flat segments of lavender mother of pearl at this thickness. I wanted to ensure each earring was made from one single piece of shell to ensure continuity of the nacres unique patterns, though split through the middle by the white gold hinges. The hinges, allow subtle movement when the studs are worn, when open, the hinges showcase rows of sparking white diamonds, which provide a beautiful contrast to the soft surface of the shell.

My Essence collection was designed to celebrate the small things in life. It uses tiny 3mm pearls set in satisfyingly perfect order in streams of 18ct gold. Over the years this collection has grown to now offer pieces in yellow, white and rose gold with an array of pearl colours.
As always if there is a particular colour combination you’re dreaming of we will happily make this to order so don’t hesitate to reach out with your ideas ☺️

Name a more perfect summer stud ☀️🐚
The Cube Earrings in Abalone feature a seamless cube made from mesmerising abalone shell paired with an equally sized soft lavender pearl. Every pair of these earrings is slightly different due to the unique markings in the shells naturally patterned surface. And don’t let their colourful and detailed appearance deceive you, somehow these work with every outfit!

The Edinburgh Fringe is in full flow and it’s not just theatre on the agenda, with a very special jewellery show now open curated by @katematthams at @_aetla_ I am so happy to be a part of this beautiful exhibition with four one-of-a-kind pieces which all explore the theme of landscape in an abstract way.
The Aligned 8 Earrings showcase hand cut strips of peacock mother of pearl, bonded seamlessly together to create flat, striped sections. Each strip boasts its own unique colour and sparkle, creating a mesmerising water-like interplay of light when the pieces unite. The effect is reminiscent of the materials marine origins, despite the earrings clean geometric shapes and perfectly flat front surface. Keep watching to spot the hidden pearls on the contrastingly bulbous back side of the earrings 😍
